Today’s activities:
I would like to write about
all the important events that deserve to be mentioned.
Firstly, as every weekday, most
of us woke up at 7:00 to have breakfast at 8:00. Breakfast was really good,
different from other times because we ate a hash brown (a kind of omelet made
of potatoes and onions) accompanied by some baked beans. As always, we didn’t
have juice. We think that British people aren’t used to drink it, instead they prefer
to drink water. After breakfast we had classes with Steven, we practiced with
dependent prepositions for a full hour, and later we did some listening
exercises. To sum up we had a great time and it went by really fast.
Today’s plan was to visit the
Imperial War Museum, but first we had lunch, which was a small cheese sandwich
with some salad (Brits don’t eat so much for lunch). They prefer to have their
largest meal at dinnertime.
Later in the afternoon we took
the Tube to Lambert North. The museum was near the station, so we did not have
to walk much to get to it. This museum was simply extraordinary and
unforgettable, for most of us it was the best of all we have visited so far. I
really enjoyed it. I have learnt lots of things which I had never heard about,
for example, the Jewish conditions of life in the Second World War or the
devastating effect of the missiles developed during that same war. We liked the
fact that every single event is recorded in the museum, although I may say that
I would have needed more time to look at it in detail. I would like to go back
there and read carefully every note and text in that museum. We stayed there
for 3 hours and a half, from 2:30pm to 6:00pm. After returning to Netherhall we
had a delicious dinner in which we prepared for a really important event, the
match between Ecuador and Mexico. I am writing this before the match ends. At
this moment Ecuador is winning 1-0, and we are all hoping that Ecuador will win
the match, we believe in our team!!!
In conclusion, we had a good
day, as always. We all enjoyed it together. Furthermore, we recovered from the
allergies and other small problems. I hope you like the pictures and this report.
