Today, we went to visit the University of
Oxford which is one of the best universities in the world.
To go to Oxford we have to take the train for about thirty minutes and later a bus for one hour and a half, so we were at the train station and the persons in charge said us that we have to wait 30 minutes to go in the train because we didn't have tickets until 9:30. 77
When we arrived it was almost 12, at first we didn't know what to do because we didn't know where we were, but after this we started to visit oxford with a guide that we paid. The guide was good because he showed us the different colleges inside oxford, how old they are, what they use to do, and he told us that between oxford and Cambridge there is a rivalry, because they are the best universities in England. We had lunch at 1 pm which was 2 different sandwiches, one with jam and the other with pepper, yogurt, soda, Apple, chips.
In Oxford we saw huge church, the first University created in the world, scenes where Harry Potter was filmed, the only thing that we couldn't do was enter inside each college.
According to the guide the rivalry between Cambridge and oxford started when the teachers of oxford went to a peaceful area because oxford was dangerous and they created Cambridge.
He told us that every one hundred years they play a little game in which the best student in the university mark a duck and they have to drink a lot and later hunt the duck in a room with other ducks, the last game was in 2001.
Later we had to return to Netherhall and we were tired, then at 8 pm we eat dinner which was piece of ham, broccoli with sauce, and a potato.
This day was great, I'm excited for what is coming next!!
P.S: I beat twice in chess to Josue
